Attorney Joe Terry of Terry & Thweatt, P.C. negotiated a $331,000.00 settlement on behalf of deckhands working aboard a shrimp boat that caught fire while docked in Port Arthur, Texas.  Through investigation we were able to determine the vessel owner failed to properly insulate the port and starboard generator diesel engine exhaust manifolds and turbo chargers which led to the fire.  Terry & Thweatt were able to negotiate this settlement for the Jones Act seaman quickly and efficiently.  Attorney’s fees and expenses totaled $133,731.25.
